Kay Delphine, ITEC, MTI, FHT, BAHons
I have been practicing as a massage therapist since 1991, after completing a two-year I.T.E.C. and M.T.I course in Holistic massage and Anatomy and Physiology at The Academy of Natural Health In London.
Initially I trained as a dancer and became interested in massage after realising the benefits of massage after having successful treatments on my own dance related injuries.
I have since then spent the following years developing my skills as a practitioner, including a B.A. Hons degree at Sussex University. Certificates and diplomas in Deep tissue/sports massage at the London school of massage, I.T.E.C certificate in Reflexology, on site massage and I am a qualified Reiki Master. As a member of the FHT I also continue to do one day and weekend courses and workshops as part of a CPD, which enables me to improve my skills and develop new techniques in my field.
My work has mostly been based in Osteopathic clinics where I have had the privilege of working with some of London and Brighton’s top Osteopaths and doctors specialising in muscular skeletal surgery and back pain management. Learning how osteopathy and massage work in harmony together enabling more flexibility to manipulate and adjust a joint which is more supple from having deep tissue massage and also this speeds up the healing process.
I love my work and I enjoy the broad age range of my clients, from children to the elderly. I get an immense sense of pride seeing how much massage can improve the quality of life ranging from insomnia to increased flexibility.
I offer a bespoke treatment and I adapt my massage to suit the needs of the individual, which I feel benefits the client as their needs can change according to the daily routines and lifestyle.
"I've been going to Kay as much as possible for the past six months for the whole body massage and she is just amazing. I've had issues with my Achilles' tendon and after seeing Kay for a few months my physio said it was back in the realm of a normal person. I could not recommend her highly enough..." Alexa C
